I have developed my voice skills over many years, and use this
experience to help people, especially in business, feel confident about their own voice
I give one
to one coaching or group sessions, depending on the clients needs. My coaching is
informal but informative, based on the skills I have developed through 20 years of
specialist voice work.
With the invention of
Skype it is now
possible to give coaching over the internet. This opens up a whole new
world of possibilities as a client could be as far away as Australia or
China! It is proving to be most successful.’
My aim is to enhance
the clients voice for good communications, clarity of speech and confidence in
presentations, whatever the accent. I teach the
importance of breathing and breath control (how
we breath affects everything we do); the importance of relaxation, good and bad tension,
as well as how the magic voice box or larynx actually works. I encourage fluency: I aim to create a voice that is
understandable, interesting and fluent.

coaching session is different. In a one to one, I very quickly I hear the clients
vocal qualities and needs, then offer solutions to those problems. I offer a two hour
session to start with, followed by an hour session a week or so later. With a group I suggest a morning or afternoon. I
also like to encourage short readings of prose or poetry, in order that people hear what
can be changed in someone else.
should be fun! Enjoy the sound you make!
||Another facet of my
coaching is dialogue coaching; helping non English speaking actors with their
dialogue in films. I coached the French actress Agathe de la Fontaine for Love In
Paris, and spent 5 weeks in Israel coaching Christina Marsillac and Gila Almagor for
Every Time We Say Goodbye, a second World War film starring Tom Hanks.
